Homographs are words
that are spelled the
same but pronounced
differently. They
also have different
meanings.
A. Read the two sentences below aloud. What part of speech (noun, verb, adjective, adverb) is the word live?

artists live.

The word live looks the same in both sentences,but
each example i s a different part of speech and has
a different meaning and pronunciation. In the first
sentence it is a verb, and in the second sentence it
is an adverb.
